Hello and happy June! How did that happen? If you are anything like me, June 1st shows up on my iPhone screen, and I start putting together my summer plans. Whether I am looking for days at the beach, winery visits, or beautiful scenery, I know I can find it all in Summerland, British Columbia.

Bottleneck Drive in Summerland is a destination to discover and enjoy. With over 20 wineries, cideries, distilleries, and breweries ready to welcome you, why not explore a region of B.C. you haven’t before? If you enjoy cider, beer, and wine, then the West Route is for you, with three cideries to visit, one brewery and one winery. If wine and spirits are your jam, head to the North Route, boasting five wineries and two distilleries. Are you mostly into wine? I don’t blame you. The East Route offers five wineries as well as a cidery.

Here is your reference map:

If you are a wine geek like me, you will be pleased to know that last June, Summerland had three sub-Geographical Indications (also known as sub-GIs) approved: Summerland Valleys sub-GI, Summerland Lakefront sub-GI, and Summerland Bench sub-GI. This is pretty significant, given the size of Summerland!

I appreciate the time it took to put these routes together – it takes the guesswork out of detailed planning.

I hope you will visit Bottleneck Drive this summer! I know I will be.
