Hello friends. I hope your week has kept you busy and feeling fulfilled.
On Monday, March 8th, I was invited to participate in the TIME Winery’s Zoom celebration for International Women’s Day. There were about 25 wine media and sommeliers on the screen alongside the dynamic McWatters sisters – Christa-Lee and Darrien, and many of their strong female staff such as Lynzee Schatz, winemaker and Kimberly Hundertmark, guest services manager.
Moderated by Leeann Froese of Town Hall Brands, the attendees were asked to pop open a bottle of Evolve Pink Effervescence and share a toast to women and girls around the world. Perfection. I have reviewed this delicious sparkling rosé for my 2020 Holiday Bubbles post. You can find it HERE. The hour and a half celebration left me with a feeling of connection and hope for the future.
In other news, the Crush On This team just released our lasted episode on Riesling. I had the pleasure to taste TIME Winery’s 2018 Riesling for the episode and got a wee bit emotional when speaking about Harry McWatters and how he truly was a B.C. wine pioneer and pushed for better quality and guidelines in our industry.

Thank you to TIME Winery for inviting me to be a part of the International Women’s Day celebration and tasting. And, for your delicious wines. I look forward to hearing more about your plans for the future. I am a fan.
Three very interesting Riesling suggestions and a lovely nod to British Columbia’s wine industry legend Harry McWatters, thank you 🥂🍷❤️🙋
