Hello, my friends.
How have you been keeping? Alright, I hope.
What bizarre times we are living in. Every interaction feels brand new yet oddly normal at the same time. Or is it just me?
I have been hanging in there. Some days are better than others – you know the drill. But it seems like I am taking things less for granted than I did before…
I have been blessed with beautiful friendships that I hold dear. These friendships have stood the test of time – some are 40 years and counting. Others have blossomed within the last five years or so, and they seem just as important. Canadian, Scottish, French, American, Dutch, Australian, and English – just to name a few – I am grateful for you all in my life. Thank you for making me laugh, helping me see beauty, connecting with a video call, email or an old fashioned phone call. Thank you.
And, as a toast to you all, I offer my latest review of the aptly named Gratitude Rosé 2019 conceptualized months ago by the insightful staff at JAK’s Beer Wine and Spirits and crafted at the Okanagan Crush Pad in Summerland, B.C. The name ‘Gratitude’ was chosen collectively to convey a deep appreciation for all that our beautiful province of British Columbia has to offer.
This delicately coloured Rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay with a splash of Muscat. On the nose, there are delightful aromas of fresh strawberry, pink grapefruit, citrus fruits and a whiff of freshly cut grass.
The wine is refreshing and dry with vibrant acidity. On the palate, I found even more layers of flavour, namely cranberry and white peach. This Rosé is certified vegan.
Local West Coast artist Alex Maertz’s whimsical art was chosen for the label. The image is of a tired hiker lying down on the forest floor for a bit of a rest, snuggled in with her forest friends.
If you are looking for a delightful wine selection to show your appreciation of a special person, this is a meaningful choice.
This wine is only available at JAK’s locations for $21.99 each and you can find your closest store here: JAK’s Beer Wine Spirits.
Thank you for reading. Stay safe and healthy. And keep enjoying your wine!
XO
