Happy #wineWednesday!

I am currently touring around Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake on the #WBC15 pre-conference excursion. More to come on this region and its’ wines…amazing so far!

I had a wonderful, jam-packed 48 hours in NYC with Amy Miller, Leeann Froese and Josh Decolongon. The lovely Donita Dyer could not join us but I brought along a Polly Pocket to represent our missing BFF.

Amy graciously invited me to stay with her in her awesome condo in the Nolita/Bowery  district and we had a fantastic time together.

On Sunday (Day 1) we had brunch at Tavern on the Green in Central Park, then walked the ‘Highline’ and ended up at Cork Buzz with a bottle of champagne. After a well needed nap, we went to Flute Champagne bar and followed that up with Momofuku’s Ssam Bar  for everything that is right with being a foodie.  Because we could and our livers were holding up, the group of us went to 10 Bells wine bar that focuses on natural wines from around the world and met the Wine Director there, Severine, who made our stay even more enjoyable.  And that was just day one!  What?  I know.

I will post my Day 2 in NYC in a day or two.  Promise.  I am about to go and jump in Keuka Lake and go for a swim with Leeann and Sujinder after an epic night of sparkling wine last night at the Keuka Lakeside Inn.  Oh, yes, I learned how to sabre a bottle as well!  Leeann taught Amy and I how to do it and we both nailed it on our first try!  I have the cap to prove it and will try to get the video that Leeann shot and post it here.  SO FUN!
