I make it a plan to have a decent stock of good wines available for almost every occasion. As we head into summertime and patio weather, having a few bottles on hand for fun backyard entertaining is a must.  Enter, Lagaria Pinot Grigio for the masses – it hits all the right notes for casual gatherings with friends.

A bright grassy-straw colour in the glass, this Pinot Grigio is incredibly refreshing.  Full of mouth-watering flavours like tart apricot, white peach, lime peel and Granny Smith apple – it is a juicy glass of wine.  There is a good amount of acidity that promotes the nice mineral component.  This wine was an unexpected pleasure for me.  Lagaria’s Pinot Grigio is bright, racy, and easy to drink – who could ask for a better summer sipper?

Oh, and I haven’t mentioned the price yet – it retails for only $14.99 at the BC Liquor Store. Seriously, what are you waiting for? This is the type of wine that looks fun to drink and delivers a great tasting product for a price that won’t blow your budget – finally!

Pair this Pinot Grigio with Mediterranean grilled veggies on the BBQ or crisp salads with halibut or chicken.  Lagaria’s Pinot Grigio is an easy drinking, dry wine from the predominantly white grape growing region of delle Venezie in Northern Italy – a great wine to have on hand for your entertaining schedule this summer!
