Hello wine lovers and happy wine Wednesday!
This is going to be a short post today as I haven’t had any wine lately. I know – the horror!
My family and I are in Cabo San Lucas and finding a reasonably priced bottle of wine is like finding a restaurant here that does not serve salsa.
I have looked at ‘wine lists’ in some high end restaurants and I am shocked by the cost of wine here. For example, I saw a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc for $100 US. Yes, you read that correctly – $100 US for a $20 CDN bottle of wine. Hence – I chose a Cadillac Margarita and this beauty has been my drink of choice here in Cabo.
This evening I am going to Salvadore’s Italian restaurant for dinner ( one of my favourite restaurants here) and I will check out their selection and report back.

I am so glad I was not looking for a sauv blanc while we were there. I have paid $42 for a bottle of Kim, (which is my all time FAV) but would have been hard pressed to pay $100. Hope your travels back to B.C. were good. We have culture shock here in Minnesota – 12 inches of new snow.
