How I adore wine. Besides enjoying the fascinating styles and exploring wine regions, I love sharing my knowledge and passion for my favourite topic with people who want to sip, savour and learn.
I have been asked to present again at Whistler’s Cornucopia this November. The entertaining food and drink festival turns 25 years young, and I am thrilled to be there and help celebrate.
On Saturday, November 6th at 11:15 AM, it is all about Chardonnay during the #Chardcore seminar. I will be presenting alongside my good friend, Jason Stubblefield, of CorkEnvy. We will be featuring ten Chardonnays from diverse B.C. wine-growing regions.
Chardonnay is, by far, my favourite grape variety. I love everything about the grape and how it is a pure, blank canvas for winemakers. From choosing to do full, partial or no malolactic fermentation to the use of oak, concrete or stainless steel vessels, Chardonnay is my passion, and I cannot wait to spread the #Chardcore love.
Chardonnay is British Columbia’s second most grown white grape variety and is the fifth most grown variety globally. From lean, mineral-driven expressions to full and voluptuous rich wines, there is a style of Chardonnay for everyone.
Jason and I will be featuring Chardonnay from the following B.C. wineries:
- Foxtrot Vineyards
- Coolshanagh Wines
- Meyer Family Vineyards
- Okanagan Crush Pad – Haywire
- TIME Family of Wines – McWatters Collection
- Fort Berens Estate Winery
- Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars
- Liquidity Wines
- Orofino Vineyards
- Harper’s Trail Winery
It will be a fun session! I hope to see you there.
