Hello all!
I hope your September is well underway with new activities that the start of the school year brings. We have transitioned to being at home again after our trip of a lifetime to Scotland. It was an incredible trip and one that was very transformative…thank you, Scotland.
I will post more about whisky in the future but I need to get back to the essence of this blog – wine. And to do that, I would like to introduce you to Alamos Chardonnay 2015 from the Mendoza Valley in Argentina.
In the glass, this Chardonnay is a really lovely medium gold colour. On the nose, loads of apple and peach blend nicely alongside some hazelnut and almond notes with a final dusting of creamy butter. The taste mirrors the aromas of this great value Chardonnay. This wine has been aged in oak but the flavours come out gently and very nuanced instead of overt and in your face. Alamos Chardonnay 2015 is not a complex wine but it is nicely balanced with a nice finish.
As I stated, this is a great value wine. It usually retails for $13.99 + tax at the BCLDB but it is currently on sale until September 30th for $12.49. A great entertaining wine to stock up on for Thanksgiving and the holiday season at this price.
Enjoy!
